privacy and disputes

Gathering of Information. We collect personal identifable information ("PII") such as your name, e-mail address, address, telephone number, credit card and bank information, only if you voluntarily choose to provide it. We request limited PII when you submit a queston or a request for information about Wave services using our contact page . Bank or credit card information will only be requested by us if you are a Wave customer and you volutarily choose to set up a payment plan for services through our customer portal. Any information given when you submit a question or request remains private. All information, particularly financial information provided through our customer portal, is encrypted, transmitted, and stored securely using industry "best practices".

Visitor Logs. Wave's servers automatically create log files documenting each visit to our web sites. These "visitor logs" allow us to make improvements to our sites so that they are more useful and provide a better visitor experience. Visitor logs do not record the visitor's name, address, phone number, credit card numbers, bank information, or any other PII (see below regarding billing information). Rather, the logs contain only the following information:

  • The IP address of the visitor's computer.
  • The date of the visit.
  • The time of the visit.
  • The path taken through our web site.
  • The browser being used.
  • A list of pages viewed.
  • Any errors encountered.

Cookie Policy. We use "cookies" to store information abour your browsing sessions. A cookie is a string of characters written to a file on your computer located where your user profile is saved. Only servers which set the cookies can read them and the cookies are only used to store information about your visits to our web sites. These cookies are not used to read or obtain other information from your computer. Wave will never sell or transfer your data. We will never sell or use any cookie information for advertising or marketing purposes. If you wish to prevent or delete specific or all cookies being stored on your computer, you may disable or delete them using your browser's preferences and settings. Refer to your browser's help pages to learn how to do this.

Use of Information. The use of PII is limited to responding to visitor requests, customer billing inquiries, and such other purposes specified at the time the information is gathered. PII collected by Wave is not provided to outside parties except that we may disclose PII if required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary to (a) comply with the law or with legal process, (b) protect against misuse or unauthorized use of our services, or (c) protect the personal safety or property of other Wave customers, the public, or Wave and its employees. Visitor log information is not considered confidential and will be provided to law enforcement personnel when conducting authorized criminal investigations.

Security. We have in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Login credentials and communications for our billing system are only submittted by you and retrieved by us over a network connection protected with 256-bit Secure Sockets Layer ("SSL") encryption. Our web sites can be accessed only over SSL secure and encrypted internet connections. You, however, are solely responsible for ensuring that the computer or device selected by you to access our services is itself secure and protected. You should never access your customer portal from a public computer or device unless you are confident that it is secure and is not infected with maware. You should never allow your login credentials to be stored on a public computer or device.

Children. You must be over the age of eighteen years to submit information to us or subscribe to any of our services.

Corrections to Personal Data; Opting Out. Please contact us to (a) correct or update any PII we have that you state is erroneous, (b) opt-out of future communications from us or (c) request we take reasonable steps to remove your PII from our data files and records. Understand it may be impossible to immediately delete all PII because of its presence in backup files.

Billing and Service Subscribers. If you order or subscribe to services from Wave, you will be required to sign a service agreement detailing the terms and conditions applicable to those services. Once you subscribe, you will be given a customer portal link where you can register to (a) monitor your billing activities, (b) make payments, (c) set up, cancel, or change automatic payments, (d) submit trouble tickets, and (e) request additional services. Service cancellation and Wave's refund policies (if applicable to your service) are set forth in your written service agreement with Wave.

Disputes and Complaints. On the rare occassion when you may have a service or billing dispute or complaint, please open a trouble ticket through your customer portal or contact us here.

Links to Other Sites. We may have links to other web sites that do not follow the same privacy policies as Wave. These other sites may also use cookies, collect data, and use the data in ways that Wave does not. Wave is not responsible for the privacy practices or any information or materials on these other sites. Please visit these sites if you wish to review their privacy policies.

Acceptance of Privacy Policy. We reserve the right to change this policy at any time. Changes to this policy will be posted to this page as soon as reasonably possible so please check this page periodically. Use of our services constitutes consent to any policy of ours then in effect.
